Dark skies made the crowd of 1556 at Deathnote arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. UNITED tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Månsson - Frank, Sinisterra Pinilla, Devos - Dujšin, Razi, Brandoni, Klöters, Kudji - Davidsson, Wanke.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for batukarang. Lineup: Raka - Palumbo, Cariello, Yngvesson - Sahing, Dalla Sega, Tambusai, Caramez, Karlsen - Øvergaard, Mashuri.
UNITED mostly relied on their long range shooting ability. A questionable penalty 16 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 1 - 0. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as Stefan Davidsson knocked the ball home. 17 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as Serafim Caramez struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. It might be a while before the fans see batukarang's Teddy Raka again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 25 minute mark. He was replaced by Joko Nuryakin. Some beautiful play by UNITED set up Nick Klöters in a good shooting position after 26 minutes, but Joko Nuryakin made a great save on the low hard shot. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. UNITED claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
UNITED focused on finding shooting opportunities from distance and after 53 minutes Stefan Davidsson fired off the big cannon, but the shot went sailing over the cross bar and into the car park. A long pass from the defence of batukarang resulted in a counterattack that set Hans Øvergaard free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. With 60 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Thomas Yngvesson put the ball away for 1 - 2. 63 minutes into the game, Stefan Davidsson came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. This half belonged to UNITED, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.
Most important UNITED player was Jurica Razi. However, Bernd Wanke made a disastrous appearance. batukarang's best player was Santiago Cariello. Zainudin Mashuri was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
